Workplace Design

We have many years’ experience delivering well-considered workplaces for organisations in every business sector from growing SMEs to global businesses. Our strong sense of agile work practices and understanding of what people expect of their workplace together with ever-evolving expectations and workplace trends, means that we always deliver space that suits each individual business.

With our offices in London and Milton Keynes we are located in the heart of change. Working alongside our architectural team we offer:

Full Architectural Services; RIBA Stages 0-7; Interior Design; Workplace Consultancy; Building Test Fit; Agile and Conventional Space Planning; Concept Design; Brand / Culture Integration; 3D Visualisation / Virtual Reality; and Furniture Consultancy.

Space Analysis

Space can be a financially-driven decision or a location-driven one. CMI Workplace has the in-house capability to review and evolve how space can work now and in the future. Our approach varies depending on your needs. We follow BCO standards and have considerable experience of undertaking projects involved with BREEAM and SKA environmental assessment methods. Our spatial analysis delivers evidenced-based needs for the business, looking at the building they occupy or look to occupy, the people and any statutory constraints.

We conduct utilisation audits to establish both occupancy figures and data around task time, task type, collaboration and room usage which we can use to plan the types of space needed. We complement this with online surveys and stakeholder interviews, allowing teams to provide feedback. Other services include team stacking and adjacencies, enabling us to allocate the correct square meterage to zones throughout the building or floor plate establishing potential or actual challenges alongside agile and conventional space planning.

Interior Architecture

We are spatially aware. We think in 3D. Our office is a mixture of architects and designers with different skills who approach projects together to find the best solutions for the client and the space. As a multi-disciplinary team we offer full architectural services, engage in complete projects from CAT A concept, specification and technical design, planning submissions and Principal Designer CDM 2015 through to interior delivery of CAT B commercial spaces and buildings. We blend the best of interiors and architecture incorporating the structure, technical, functionality, materials and aesthetic needs of a project.

As a workplace interiors and architectural consultant we provide services based on RIBA work stages 0-7. Traditional procurement routes enable us to work entirely on behalf of the client without influence from contractors, suppliers and furniture manufacturers, with an independent approach that is entirely client focused. See ‘Our Approach’ for further information and procurement options.
